5 tips on weight loss diet

Everyone wants some diet tips on weight loss. I’m sure you’ve thought of starting a dieting regime, but do not know how to start. Well, there are no definite starting points for it, since every person has a different approach to dieting. However, here are some tips that you should remember for an effective diet programme.

1) Cut down on carbohydrate-laden foods and stock up more on meat and vegetables. Carbo-laden food would include rice and potatoes. Unless you are a very active person that moves a lot every day, the extra energy that you take in will just convert to fats and get stored in your body.

2) Do not starve, neither do you torture yourself by eating just plain food every day. Starvation only eats up your muscles and skin, making you unhealthy, while a torturous daily meals of plain food like gruel or oatmeal will cause you to go on a binge once you stop, thus gaining more weight.

3) Eat fruits for snacks. I’m sure many of us feel a bit hungry during certain periods of time when it is not lunch or dinner, and a quick bite would make us satisfied. Fruits contain fibre that can satisfy your hunger while not contributing to overall carbohydrate or fat intake, since they are not digested.

4) Do focused exercises. There are people who are not really overweight, but the fats are concentrated at a particular part of the body e.g stomach, legs. Running alone will not help burn those fats away because it acts on the whole body. Instead, if you want to focus on the stomach, do lots of abdomen-related exercises like crunches, abdominal presses and twists. These exercises can be done anywhere, and does not involve expensive equipment.

5) Sleep early. Not many websites or guidebooks mention this, but for people who always stay awake past midnight to finish up their work or personal activities, they have a tendency to eat in order to keep themselves awake or just make themselves feel better. The body’s metabolism rate is at its lowest at night, so eating at night will only increase the body intake of carbohydrates and fats. If you need to stay awake past midnight, learn to abstain from eating. There is a reason why the meal ‘breakfast’ exists: to break the fasting of the stomach over the night.

Weight loss diets are effective once you incorporate them into your daily life just like drinking water. Get started now! Or if you want to strip even more fat, then go strip them!

5 guides to losing weight

Are you looking for a guide to losing weight? Tired of dieting for so long and yet wondering why the weight just does not go down? The obvious reason is that your dieting regime has some flaws to it. Do not blame yourself, because many people also commit the same mistakes, and these are not obvious at first sight due to the years of socially accepted beliefs of weight loss tips. Here are 5 guides to losing weight, and they serve to correct whatever wrong that you may have committed in your regime.

1) Eat regularly and moderately. Many people think that eating very little, or starving, leads to fast weight loss. However, this is only temporary because once we stop it, our bodies will feel hungry and we will go on a binge, leading to further weight gain. The trick is to eat moderately as if you are not on any diet. Let your body take its natural course.

2) Eat more fruits. You should probably know this guide by now, but to reiterate this point, the main reason why fruits are considered for weight loss tips is because of the fibre that they provide. Eating fruits is just like eating food – your stomach feels satisfied as long as something goes inside it. The fibre serves to satisfy your hunger, yet it does not provide any carbohydrates and fats, thus helping you to control your appetite better. Of course, do not fall into the trap of replacing your meals with fruits only as this will be the same as starving, since you will not be getting enough energy for your daily activities.
Furthermore, fruits contain high water content, thus quenching your thirst, so you do not need to waste money on soft drinks, effectively cutting down on weight.

3) Drink lots of water. A main reason why you may not find yourself losing weight is because of the drinks that you take in. Many weight loss guides stress heavily on food intake, but fail to mention much about drinks. In fact, you should drink lots of water regularly because your body can mistake thirst for hunger, resulting in overeating. Ah, you didn’t know about that, did you?

4) Move that body! That means walking or running a lot. You do not need to solely restrict yourself to exercise to increase your metabolism, but incorporate it into your daily life. For example, I love saving money on transport because sometimes it is not worth spending a dollar on bus to go to a destination only a mile away. The desire to save money also leads to losing weight, so try to find some sort of motivation to enable you to walk or run regularly. After all, people in the African savannahs run as their daily mode of transport!

5) Keep track of your weight loss or gain. I have to stress this importantly because weight gain does not necessarily mean fat gain. For males, weight gain sometimes corresponds to muscle gain, so it is not entirely an adverse sight. How do you know if you gained fat or body mass? The best way to ascertain this is to keep track of your weight daily. If you know that you are eating and exercising properly, yet gained weight, it’s probably muscle mass. At the same time, you can use this tracking programme to see if you have violated any of your weight loss regime, for example having extra snacks, or splurging on a meal for that day.

I would like to mention that you should not torture your body by depriving it of good food. Once in a while, treat yourself to good food like a buffet or some pizza. After all, the mind controls your body, so make your weight loss regime an enjoyable and rewarding one! The guides to losing weight are simple to adhere to, so don’t give up!
